About Signal
Built on a belief that great teaching shouldn’t be left to chance.
Signal Education was founded on what most tutoring centres get wrong, and built something deliberately different.
- Six years of Signal
- Two centres, one standard
- Formerly MPiR Tuition
01 / Why Signal
Why Signal exists
Most tutoring centres put students in a room and hope a good tutor turns up. That model puts everything on the individual: a great tutor, and a child improves. A weak one, and a child spends a year making little progress.
Signal was built to remove that gamble. Not by finding 40 exceptional tutors, but by building a system strong enough that consistent teaching is the default, not the exception. The lessons are pre-written. The structure is non-negotiable. The standard doesn’t change depending on who’s in the room.
Signal runs two centres in Melbourne’s west, Cairnlea and Braybrook, teaching structured Maths and English from Year 1 to Year 12. Six years in, over 2,500 students have come through the doors, and there’s more to come.
02 / The teachers
The teachers behind the system.
Signal Education is the new name for MPiR Tuition — same founders, same centres, and a system six years in the making.

03 / The principles
Four principles. One standard.
Everything Signal does is built on four non-negotiable principles. Together, they’re the system that makes consistent results possible.
Sequence
Every concept is taught in precise order, with every prior skill covered before the next one is introduced. Nothing assumed. Nothing skipped.
Structure
Every class follows the same lesson flow, every week, across every year level and subject. Quality doesn’t depend on who’s teaching. It’s built into the system.
Support
Maximum 8 students per class. Every student monitored, called on by name, and supported through every lesson. Nobody goes unnoticed.
Progress
Weekly observation reports, topic assessments, proactive level monitoring, and a rewards system that keeps a student engaged. Progress isn’t hoped for. It’s tracked.
04 / Training
Trained to deliver the system
Sending a child to Signal means not rolling the dice on whoever’s rostered that day.
Trained before the first class
How to deliver a lesson, how to engage a student, and the standard that doesn’t move — before ever stepping in front of a class.
Coached continuously
Coaching doesn’t stop at induction. Every tutor keeps being observed, corrected and developed.
Held to one standard
The same lesson flow, the same expectations, every class, both centres — whoever is teaching.
Signal isn’t just two centres in Melbourne’s west. It’s a system built to scale without compromising the standard: more centres, more students, the same system. That’s what’s being built next.
